This cabinet is made out of hardboard and solid walnut components to make a stunning cabinet reproduction that closely resembles the original. It is veneered with real black walnut veneer and stained and finished as closely as possible to what the originals are. I also make full sleeve cabinets for many other units including the Model 18 and 19 receivers and many of the older units such as WC-1, WC-2, WC-110, WC-22, Model 7(with no grill) and others please ask. Cabinet will come with mounting screws to allow you to assemble the cabinet in just a few minutes. Cabinet will be packed so as to arrive without damage.
No low ball offers will be considered.
Since the rear slot plastic grommets no longer exist I must drill the holes where the screws line up with specific units. This is why my cabinets are not universal and you must buy the correct cabinet for your unit. I have also taken special care to make sure any ventilation is not obstructed for your unit.
The history of the WC-122 cabinet as I know it. The WC-122 cabinet was made as a universal cabinet to fit the 22xx receivers. When they discontinued the full sleeve WC-22 and the unknown full sleeve cabinet that was made for the 2285B and other similar receiver, they replaced these wood cabinets with the 3 piece design. (WC = wood cabinet) and 2 digit cabinet are full sleeve cabinets where the 3 digit cabinets were the 3 piece designs. The WC-122 was a design that fit many receivers as they took into account all the attachment points for the rear side screws using a long slot and a plastic trim grommet. This to make the slot attractive to Marantz purchasers.
