***   The coarse ground has very little powder in it so it looks like very small pebbles as shown in the picture.
I hand screen the small chunks
to get the coarse ground, then I remove most of the powder by
hand sifting it through a fine mesh stainless steel sieve

Because I do it this way there is a lot more dark in the powder than if you just crushed chunks. So you can use less to get the same results. Although this process
takes a lot of time and is dusty work,
its worth it because it
dramatically reduces powder resulting in a
low sediment tea when using small chunks and or coarse ground, and the powder is more dense
. You can freeze the small chunks and or grounds and use them over
and
over again. I as a rule, add a little extra to your order so you will receive an even better deal.     *** If you grind Chaga chunks yourself you will get a lot of powder in your tea. Save yourself time and let me do the work for you, with low powder coarse grind,

the center chunks from the large chunks I chop each of them into small chunks
by hand
. That means the small chunks will have some outer layer on almost every piece, and they are mostly
dense
