This folding stool is made in Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture, where forestry and lumbering industries are flourishing.
It has various uses other than a stool, such as when you don't want to put things directly on the floor or ground indoors or outdoors. The seat is made of the same Cordura nylon as the Kermit chair, and the first version is released in olive green.
The company has been manufacturing furniture since the middle of the Meiji era (1868-1912), and in the early Showa era (1926-1989) was recommended by the Ministry of Education as a factory for school furniture.
