Archived pictures are used to illustrate and demonstrate this type of Singer felling attachment.
Sweet Seams are made with this (who am I to disagree)!
Place two fabrics wrong sides together with a 1/8th inch edge of fabric showing on the bottom.
(I stitched a line of stand-out red thread along that edge and finger pressed it over. This is not part of the seam. The red line is for demonstration only).
NOTE: The foot does not "roll" this raw edge over like a rolled hemmer foot. It
folds
and stitches down the raw edge getting the seam ready for the next step.
The raw edge will be encased in the 2nd stitching process finishing the felled seam.
Take the fabric out from under your vintage Singer Feller foot and open it up. With the fabrics right side up, top-stitch the folded edge down using your Singer Feller Foot to fold over and encase edge.
And voila!
These felled seams are tiny, delicate looking and sturdy. They are not as large and as bulky as denim felled seams.
And there you have it!
